How We Work

Our approach is informed by decades of senior government and private-sector experience across intelligence operations, diplomacy, investigations, international security, and enterprise risk. We apply that experience to real-world decisions - not theoretical models.

Boutique by Design

We work with a limited number of clients to ensure senior-level attention. Every engagement is led directly by our founder — not delegated to junior analysts or outsourced teams.

Discreet and Defensible

Our work reflects an understanding of legal exposure, privilege, and reputational risk. All engagements operate under a mutual non-disclosure framework executed prior to any substantive exchange.

Decision-Focused

We prioritize clarity and judgment over volume. Our deliverables are designed for principals, general counsel, and investment committees — intelligence they can act on immediately.

Benjamin House, Founder and Principal of Veritas Intelligence

Benjamin House

Founder, Veritas Intelligence

Benjamin House, Founder of Veritas Intelligence, advises senior leaders confronting consequential decisions where information is incomplete, circumstances are uncertain, and the cost of being wrong is significant. His three decades of experience across intelligence operations, diplomacy, counterintelligence, investigations, and Fortune 500 leadership inform an approach centered on independent analysis, disciplined judgment, and decision advantage.

He is a retired Senior Operations Officer with the Central Intelligence Agency, where he led intelligence operations in complex and high-risk environments across five continents, including serving twice as Chief of Station. He developed particular depth in Latin America through multiple senior assignments in the region, in addition to significant experience across South Asia and the Middle East.

Throughout his government career, he operated against high-priority targets in some of the most challenging operational environments, earning recognition as an expert in counterintelligence, counterterrorism, high-threat operations, and complex investigations. His work required the ability to assess incomplete or conflicting information, operate with discretion, and produce clear, defensible judgments in time-sensitive situations.

Following his government service, he led Global Safety and Security for a Fortune 500 company, with responsibility for protecting over 25,000+ employees across more than 2,000 locations worldwide. In this role, he advised senior executives on geopolitical risk, operational exposure, and crisis response, translating complex intelligence into actionable business decisions.

He also served as a U.S. Diplomat and as a Special Agent (Counterintelligence) with the Department of the Army, further expanding his experience in international operations, interagency coordination, and investigative work.

The Veritas Standard

Answers to common questions from prospective clients regarding our operational framework, confidentiality standards, and engagement terms.

Veritas Intelligence is boutique by design. We accept a limited number of engagements to ensure senior-level oversight, discretion, and attention to each client's specific decision requirements.

Our focus is clarity and judgment—not volume. We provide decision-grade intelligence for situations where the stakes are high and the consequences of being wrong are material.

Veritas advises executives, boards, investors, law firms, corporations, and select private clients confronting consequential decisions, complex risks, sensitive investigations, and situations where conventional information is insufficient. Engagements are selective, discreet, and accepted directly or by referral.

Veritas Intelligence is headquartered in Orlando, Florida, with a presence in Bogotá, Colombia. We operate throughout the United States and internationally, with particular depth in Latin America and experience across Europe, the Middle East, and South Asia.

Every engagement begins by defining the decision, question, or risk the client needs to understand. We establish the relevant intelligence requirements, identify information gaps, and develop a tailored collection and analytical strategy.

Veritas does not rely on standardized products. Each engagement is designed around the client's specific circumstances, timeline, and decision requirements. Findings are delivered with clear judgments, supporting information, identified uncertainties, and practical implications for the client.

Executive Due Diligence investigates the individual. Leadership Intelligence assesses how the individual operates.

Executive Due Diligence focuses on background, reputation, relationships, conflicts, integrity concerns, and undisclosed risk. Leadership Intelligence examines judgment, decision-making, leadership behavior, influence, and how an executive is likely to perform in a particular role or environment.

In simple terms: Due diligence asks, “What do we need to know about this person?” Leadership Intelligence asks, “What should we expect from this person as a leader?”
