Benjamin House

Founder, Veritas Intelligence

Benjamin House, Founder of Veritas Intelligence, is retained by clients when conventional diligence is insufficient and the stakes are too high for incomplete answers. His experience across intelligence operations, diplomacy, counterintelligence, and Fortune 500 security leadership enables Veritas Intelligence to assess risk, validate information, and deliver clear, defensible judgment clients can act on with confidence.

He is a retired Senior Operations Officer with the Central Intelligence Agency, where he led intelligence operations in complex and high-risk environments across five continents, including serving twice as Chief of Station. He developed particular depth in Latin America through multiple senior assignments in the region, in addition to significant experience across South Asia and the Middle East.

Throughout his government career, he operated against high-priority targets in some of the most challenging operational environments, earning recognition as an expert in counterintelligence, counterterrorism, high-threat operations, and complex investigations. His work required the ability to assess incomplete or conflicting information, operate with discretion, and produce clear, defensible judgments in time-sensitive situations.

Following his government service, he led Global Safety and Security for a Fortune 500 company, with responsibility for protecting over 28,000 employees across more than 2,000 locations worldwide. In this role, he advised senior executives on geopolitical risk, operational exposure, and crisis response, translating complex intelligence into actionable business decisions.

He also served as a U.S. Diplomat and as a Special Agent (Counterintelligence) with the Department of the Army, further expanding his experience in international operations, interagency coordination, and investigative work.

Today, as Founder of Veritas Intelligence, he supports law firms, investors, corporations, and private clients facing complex, high-stakes decisions. His approach combines discreet intelligence collection, rigorous analysis, and seasoned judgment to provide clarity in situations where information is limited and the consequences of being wrong are significant.

What We Do

Veritas Intelligence advises investors, law firms, corporations, and private clients facing complex, high-stakes decisions where incomplete or misleading information creates real financial, legal, or reputational risk.

Our work focuses on situations where standard diligence is insufficient – unfamiliar jurisdictions, sensitive counterparties, cross-border exposure, market entry risk, reputational concerns, or decisions that cannot be reversed once made.

Clients come to Veritas when clarity is limited and the stakes are high. We deliver discreet collection, sound judgment, and decision-grade intelligence they can act on with confidence.

Discreet & Defensible

Our work reflects an understanding of legal exposure, privilege, and reputational risk. Client identity, intelligence requirements, and operational details are compartmentalized at every level. We work with a limited number of clients to ensure senior-level attention.

Legally Compliant

Every collection method and analytical process operates within the legal frameworks of applicable jurisdictions. Veritas holds FL License # A3400174 and structures all work to meet evidentiary standards and protect privilege.

Veteran-Owned & Mission-Driven

Veritas Intelligence is a Service-Connected Disabled Veteran-Owned Business. Our founder is a service-connected disabled veteran with more than three decades of service across the CIA, U.S. Department of State, and U.S. Army.

Operational Approach

Every engagement follows a disciplined intelligence cycle refined across three decades of operations across five continents. Methodology is adapted to the client's specific requirements and risk profile — never templated, never commoditized.

I

Scoping & Requirements Definition

Initial consultation to define the intelligence requirement, assess the risk landscape, and establish operational parameters. All engagements are subject to conflict checks and jurisdictional review. We scope for decision relevance — not volume.

II

Collection & Source Development

Multi-source intelligence gathering through HUMINT, OSINT, proprietary databases, and vetted networks. Our approach draws on decades of human intelligence tradecraft — not database aggregation — to surface risk that conventional diligence misses.

III

Analysis & Corroboration

Raw intelligence is processed through structured analytical frameworks. Findings are corroborated across independent sources before inclusion in any deliverable. No assessment is issued without multi-source validation.

IV

Decision-Grade Reporting

Delivery of intelligence products with executive summary, risk assessment, and actionable recommendations tailored for principals, investment committees, and legal teams. Follow-on monitoring and advisory available.
